How to apply

There are 63 product groups within the Nordic Ecolabel. A company can apply for a Nordic Ecolabel within any of these product areas. When granted a licence, the company may then use the Nordic Ecolabel on all its marketing of the Nordic Ecolabelled product or service. The national offices manage licence applications and grant licences.

The Nordic Ecolabel - Limiting CO2 Emissions

The Nordic Ecolabel is a voluntary ecolabelling scheme that evaluates a product's impact on the environment throughout the whole lifecycle.

The label guarantees among other things that climate requirements are taken into account, and that CO₂ emissions (and other harmful gasses) are limited - where it is most relevant.
